Ice Road Truckers
The documentary series examining the lucrative but highly dangerous job of driving trucks on Canada’s notorious ice highways hits Demand Five. For two months each winter, the frozen wastes of northern Canada become accessible to road transport. Hardened truckers drive heavy loads across specially prepared ice roads. Ice that is sometimes just 20 inches thick, in temperatures that can reach –50 degrees Fahrenheit.
