Glangrwyney Court
Glangrwyney Court
  • Review
Situated in spacious parklands on the edge of the spectacular Black Mountains in South Wales, Glangrwyney Court Guesthouse is an eight bedroom, five star, Grade II listed manor house. It was originally bought by Christina and Warwick Jackson 17 years ago, as a family home, then transformed into a B&B a few years later in a bid to help with crippling repair bills for the Georgian building.

However, after 14 years the B&B has never made a profit and the couple now face the very real threat of losing both the business and their home.

When award winning hotelier Alex Polizzi first arrives she wastes no time in telling Christina that she needs to have more faith in her fantastic product by striping back the décor and making it less personal – after all spending a night in some of the rooms would be like ‘waking up in Barbara Cartland’s underwear’.

Alex manages to secure new business for the hotel but the question remains as to whether Christina will be too stretched with the extra catering required. Will this extra business be enough to save their home?
